Catch Recordings are at Distrikt on 29 October, along with Youandewan and label owner Nadsat.
Youandewan is Ewan Smith, a DJ and producer who has since 2009 quietly but consistently gone about forging his own tender brand of deep house, with releases on Aus, Secretsundaze and Voyage. From his Berlin base, he’s carved out an illustrious career performing at highly regarding venues and festivals around the world.
Joining Ewan is NWO, who was created out of a need for a diverse musical output and inspired by avant-guard artists from the 20th century in a post-real world. As a DJ and producer, they take influence from a wide range of sounds including Breaks, Techno, Electro, Jungle, House and Jazz. “Fluidly weaving between the abstract utopian soundscapes, raw industrial drums and acid bass frequencies.”
Catch Recordings was born with a strong ethos and vision to not be pigeon holed, building a network of quality artists who produce and engineer forward thinking electronic music, and have a passion for what they do, whilst delivering consistently across the board, whether it be in their production or as a DJ.
