South London band Dry Cleaning continue their UK tour at Hyde Park Book Club this Saturday, following last October’s release of their second EP.
Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks exemplifies their music – simple, direct and uncomplicated, although their sound has evolved and their palette extended since their debut album. Inspiration is taken from The Feelies, The Necessaries, the B52s and Pylon. You can listen to “Sit Down Meal” here.
Band members Lewis Maynard, Tom Dowse, Florence Shaw and Nick Buxton are all longstanding friends but making music together only started in 2017, playing their first show in 2018 after releasing their debut EP, Sweet Princess.
Reviews have included a 7.8 at Pitchfork, playlisting at 6 Music and being named a Band to Watch by Stereogum.
