Gold Sounds: at The Brudenell on 3 May

Leeds long-running, one day new music festival headlined in 2026 by TTSSFU, Lots of Hands and PISS.

Gold Sounds is renowned for its consistent, carefully curated lineups featuring rising stars and forward-thinking artists from around the world.

TTSSFU, aka Manchester-based singer and guitarist Tasmin Nicole Stevens, released Blown, her second mini-album, last August via tastemaker US label Partisan Records, to widespread acclaim. A collision of slacker guitars, dreamy shoegaze vocals and driving krautrock drum machines, Blown reframes TTSSFU’s signature haunting melancholy over often optimistic instrumentation to deliver something new and utterly captivating.

Acoustic warmth, dusty drum machines and intimate half-whispered vocals, all wrapped up in analog warp: Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Lots of Hands write breathtakingly tender music that belies their years. Members Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden already have four albums to their name, released through cult favourite label Fire Talk, with last year’s into a pretty room garnering the duo international acclaim.

Hailing from Vancouver BC, PISS will be bringing their politically-charged abrasive blend of classic hardcore, sprechgesang post-punk and bare-knuckle poetry to the Brudenell. A cacophony of blistering music, inimitable live performance art and socially conscious sound art, PISS push past any predefined boundaries of what punk music should be to produce an experience that is at times frightening, yet always exhilarating and empowering.

Gold Sounds 2026 will also feature Leeds’ own up-and-coming indie quartet Gravy, whose brand new single ‘Take A Look Around’ is an exciting sign of things to come.

Mia Jackson, Promoter – Gold Sounds: “So excited to release the line-up for Gold Sounds 2026. This is something we have worked hard on over the past year to curate and we hope that really comes across.

I’m really looking forward to watching PISS. T

They are a new band coming over from Vancouver and are a must-watch. Their live set is loud, captivating and the music they make is super important in highlighting gender-based violence, amongst other issues addressed in their set. Another highlight for me is ttssfu: very excited to hear their latest single ‘Upstairs’ live. You will have definitely heard it played on the 6 Music playlist!”
