Even if it is common sense, some of what follows won’t necessarily occur to you at the right time – or even in the right place! So with just two weeks to go……………

Before the day
When you’re packing, check all of your tent is in the bag or you’ll have to buy a whole new tent at the shop on site.
Look at the site map so you have some idea of the layout, including where to get medical help
If you’re going with or meeting up with friends, agree one meeting point in case you get separated
Consider the set times of your favourites and work out how – or if – you can see them all

What to pack:
wellies
waterproof jacket
comfy shoes
hat
sun glasses
sunscreen
plenty of socks
ear plugs (yes, we mean it)
a torch
first aid kit
a pillow
snacks (to avoid queues and in case you can’t afford the prices on site)

Be prepared for those less hygienic moments and include:
toilet paper/tissues
wet wipes
sanitiser
breath spray
insect repellent

When you arrive
Listen to the stewards
If you’re over 30, get ready to feel like the oldest person left on Planet Earth.
Don’t pitch your tent near any toilets
Stick to the paths/tracks
Secure your mobile ‘phone and charger. Don’t carry your ‘phone in your hand
Do carry a water bottle at all times. Hydration is so important
Protect all your belongings
Explore the site for the whole experience so you don’t miss out on anything
Wear your best Festival outfits and be prepared to be papped by the Leeds Living team.

…….and during the rest of your time at the Festival:
At some point, try the wider experience in the big tents – musical bingo is so much fun.
Take breaks.
Relax – dance, sing.
Stay safe. Know where to go if you need help.

Finally – enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
