Manchester Collective: Heavy Metal at Howard Assembly Room on 5 December

Experimental programming and daring collaborations are the hallmarks of Manchester Collective, formed in 2016 by Adam Szabo (Chief Executive) and Rakhi Singh (Music Director).

Their cutting age contemporary music combined with classical masterpieces is now staged in concert halls, club spaces and warehouses across the UK and the rest of Europe. Their debut album The Centre is Everywhere was released in March 2021 on the Bedroom Community label. Manchester Collective’s 21/22 season features seven touring projects across ten cities.

From one-off gigs to extensive residencies, they perform new work by boundary-pushing collaborators including Abel Selaocoe, Hannah Peel, Lyra Pramuk, Vessel and Edmund Finnis. For further details, visit manchestercollective.co.uk.

Their show at Howard Assembly Room will feature new work they have commissioned from Sebastian Gainsborough (aka Vessel) and Ben Nobuto. You can find out more here: https://manchestercollective.co.uk/metal

The performance begins at 4 p.m. on 5 December. https://www.operanorth.co.uk/whats-on/manchester-collective-heavy-metal/
