Nathan Carter is at Leeds Irish Centre on 1 February

Irish country-pop artist Nathan Carter  is coming to Leeds with his band on 1 February as part of his UK tour, which celebrates his new album Irish Heartland.

Nathan’s sensational live show sees him as one of the UK’s most prolific touring artists, and this time he’s supported by Claudia Buckley, recognised as very much a rising star in her own right.  The tour is already under way, having started on 29 January, and will continue until 28 November.

Nathan has headlined shows at 3Arena Dublin and SSE Arena Belfast, appeared for the Pope at Croke Park, performed on his own show for BBC Ulster on St Patrick’s Day and has written his autobiography Born for the Road: My Story So Far.

With his background of growing up in a house where Country and Western music filled the air, Nathan cut his musical teeth on Johnny Cash, Don Williams and Dolly Parton. From the age of 4, he was learning to play guitar, piano and accordion, all of which feature in his live shows.  He was Head Chorister in the Liverpool Boys’ Choir and toured the world with them.

Listen to Nathan’s NEW SINGLE ‘MAY THE ROAD RISE’ here. The track features legendary Irish folk group The High Kings and was written by manager John Farry and himself to ring in the new decade.  Nathan describes the track as “an uplifting, high-energy song about good fortune, well-wishes and friendship”.
