Someone did a fine thing in their choice of support artists for Newton Faulkner last night.

NATI with all that energy.

Upbeat, lively, funny and altogether engaging, NATI had the crowd moving to her tune in her time.

Marie Naffah‘s slower tempo and soulful tone created a nice contrast before Newton’s set.

But this was my first time seeing Newton Faulkner live and he delivered a lastingly impressive performance.

I was mesmerised by his guitar playing, creating those layered beats and sounds.

Newton has that way with him. You know, the mix of talent with great humour and easy crowd interaction between songs. Special.

This artist, who is a one man band yet somehow filled the entire stage, held the crowd’s full attention all the while. Sometimes, you don’t want the night to end.
