Scorching Hot Takes will host a live fundraiser to support Music Venue Trust at The Wardrobe, Leeds
In partnership with Futuresound and Monomyth Records, the evening begins with a live panel-style episode of the Scorching Hot Takes podcast, featuring special guests Claire Hamilton & Chris Sherrington, highlighting the development of grassroots venues and the communities they foster.
This will be followed by a live performance, headlined by Flat Moon with support from Glass Frogs.

All proceeds will go directly to Music Venue Trust.
To make the event happen, Scorching Hot Takes has teamed up with Monomyth Records, which constantly champions emerging artists and grassroots talent. Futuresound is known for hosting some of Yorkshire’s biggest live shows, providing platforms for new bands, artists, and creatives. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment, not only to discussing the scene but also to actively supporting and sustaining it.
The event is a genuine celebration of the local music community, bringing together creators, artists, promoters and fans, to give back to the venues that facilitate such experiences.
As a student-led initiative, Scorching Hot Takes is deeply rooted in this community. Independent venues have played a vital role in shaping its identity, influencing musical tastes, forging friendships and boosting the growth of the platform. This fundraiser embodies that personal connection, along with the passion, urgency and community spirit at the heart of grassroots music culture.
