International Women’s Day – an Evening of Inspiration

Leeds is set to celebrate women next week, with a variety of events across the City.  One of the events is an evening of Inspirational Speakers.

EY (Ernst & Young LLP) and Leeds City Council is inviting you to attend the event on 4 March from 4 until 6 p.m. at the EY offices in Holbeck.

Speakers are:   

Eve Roodhouse – Chief Officer, Economic Development at Leeds City Council

Helen Oldham – Founding Board Director NorthInvest, Founder, NED, Chair of Trustees SmartWorks Leeds

Dawn O’Keefe – Co-Founder & MD at SHINE Social Enterprise – Meeting Space, Offices and Food.  

Afterwards, there’ll be a question and answer session before everyone enjoys drinks and canapes.

There is a variety of other events in and around Leeds to help celebrate International Women’s Day.  The following are just a few of them, but you can search ‘International Womens Day Leeds’ and the world is your oyster!  Events cater for a wide range of interests, from education and information to art, music and photography, eating and drinking, running and walking – and chatting and talking.

Stories from our Community takes place at Sky Betting & Gaming, 2Wellington Place, from 12 noon until 1.30 on 4 March

Gusto is hosting a celebratory lunch from 1230 until 3 p.m. on 6 March

Sisterhood (a celebration of women in music) is on 6 March at Seven Arts, Chapel Allerton, from 8 p.m.

Sky Diversity – Celebrate will be held at Sky 2, Leeds Dock on 9 March at 5.30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

MEND Talks, an event which takes place at Heart Centre, Headingley on 20 March from 7.00 p.m. until 8.30 p.m.

Empowering Women in Healthcare is on 20 March from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Weetwood Hall Hotel.
