Shed Seven to Take Over Leeds Northern Market for Millennium Square Show – 11 July

York Britpop icons Shed Seven are teaming up with Northern Monk to take over the Leeds’ breweries The Northern Market venue on the day of their huge Millennium Square show.

Situated just 100 yards from the concert venue, the band have curated a day of pop-ups, DJs and more, all hosted inside the breweryrun beer and food hall.

Taking place from 3PM on Friday 11th July until the show’s doors open at 6.30PM and opening again for the show’s official afterparty,  The Northern Market’s popular food & drink hall will play host to the band’s favourite Yorkshire institutions, featuring a tap takeover by craft beer pioneers Brew York, a special pop-up by Leeds icons Jumbo Records, and a carefully curated line-up of daytime DJs, including Dan Guest from legendary Leeds clubnight Brighton Beach.

Shed Seven’s Tom Gladwin will also be hosting a very special TOM-BOLA with rare and unique Shed Seven and Northern Monk prizes to be won and all funds raised donated to charity.

Following two back-to-back chart topping albums in 2024, A Matter of Time and Liquid Gold, alt-rockers Shed Seven are returning to Millennium Square after their 2023 sell-out show as part of this year’s Sounds of the City series, this time with Liverpudlian legends The Lightning Seeds and Sheffield’s indie favourites The Sherlocks in support.

The Northern Market will also be holding the official Aftershow Party with DJ sets from The Sherlocks and more.

To celebrate an incredible day of music and community, The Northern Market will be offering 20% off drinks to those who show their Millennium Square gig ticket at the bar.

Tom Gladwin, Shed Seven:“With Leeds just up the road from us in York, playing there has always had a hometown sort of feel. It’s nice to get a few of our favourite things over to Leeds for the day to somewhere where gig-goers can assemble with like-minded folk. We know some of our fans have a good, friendly community online, so hopefully some can meet face to face for the first time for a drink.  I’ll be there from 4 – 5pm to run the TOM-BOLA and give away a few prizes while earning a little bit for local charities. Hope to see you there!”

Russell Bisset, Founder, Northern Monk:“At Northern Monk, we’ve always been passionate about celebrating the creativity of the North – whether that’s through beer, food, music, art, the outdoors or anything else that brings communities together. So, we’re stoked to be teaming up with Northern legends Shed Seven for a full day of celebration with some of Yorkshire’s finest, right here at The Northern Market.”
