Costa Coffee – Joint Headline Partner of Macmillan’s Coffee Morning

Costa in Leeds invites you to support Macmillan in raising vital funds, by joining in with fundraising activities in Leeds’ Costa Coffee store (located in Lancaster Park, Leeds) from 29 September until 1 October.

Personalise your favourite cup of coffee with an image of your face using an innovative Ripples machine, watch a live coffee-artist create beautiful and unique drawings, or take part in games and activities, with the opportunity to win several exciting prizes!

The in-store events are part of a bigger fundraising effort for Macmillan’s Coffee Morning as on the 29th of September, there will be a second Costa Coffee internal bike ride where riders will cover 215 miles in two days, from Isle of Sheppey to Weston Super Mare, to raise vital funds for Macmillan.

Additionally, in every Costa Coffee store up and down the country, you will be able to find three delicious treats (pictured) created in collaboration with Macmillan: the beloved Macmillan Chocolate Muffin, the irresistible Macmillan Carrot and Walnut Cake, and the exciting new addition for 2023, the mouthwatering Macmillan Iced Shortcake Biscuit.

Nick Orrin, Managing Director of UK&I at Costa Coffee: “Every day, millions of people walk into our Costa Coffee stores across the UK. We are in a unique position at the heart of every community to make a customer’s day a little better – no matter where they or their loved ones are on their cancer journey. In 2022, Costa Coffee donated an amazing £300,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support, and this year, the goal is to raise even more!

We look forward to welcoming customers to our store at Lancaster Park, Leeds, bringing communities together to participate in some fun and special activities whilst making an amazing difference to the support services provided by Macmillan, which are crucial to thousands of people across the country.”

Claire Rowney, Executive Director of Fundraising at Macmillan Cancer Support: “Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure is expected to rise to 4 million. Macmillan exists to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can, but we rely almost entirely on donations to make a difference.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Costa Coffee for the second time this year. With stores across the country, they are helping us to inspire millions more people to get involved in Coffee Morning in several different ways. Whatever your reason for taking part, and however you choose to do it, your support will help us to raise vital funds for people living with cancer, who need us more than ever before.”
