Leeds Independent Christmas Market NOW CANCELLED WITH HUGE REGRET

Leeds’s Rolling Social Events will host a Christmas Market at Leeds Corn Exchange from 20 November, where independent traders will tempt shoppers to wine, dine and work through those Christmas gift lists.

Imagine doing all your shopping under one roof, enjoying the world’s street food and sampling your favourite tipple – all within the latest safety guidelines.

Think New York bagels, Berlin bratwurst, Asian bao buns, the delights of North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East – and, of course, those Yorkshire pies.

Rolling Social Co-Founder Samantha Fish: “It’s great to be back working with the Corn Exchange. We love the beautiful building, its architecture, and its offer; packed with boutiques, it is celebratory of local independent business, which is exactly in-line with our ethos.”

The team from the City’s Hedonist Events will operate the speciality bars – one for winter warming (mulled wines, hot ciders/chocolate), another for beers, then proseccos and wines and a couple for cocktails – and low and no alcohol if that’s your preference.

Visitors can attend masterclasses and create their own drinks, including hot cocktails as an option to mulled wine.

That’s the hospitality part. The gift shopping is the province of the Corn Exchange.

Adam Warner is the Centre Manager: “Leeds Corn Exchange is the home of Independents. With over 30 independent shops, cafes, boutiques, and salons visitors will be guaranteed to pick up some unique gifts.  We’re really excited to welcome Rolling Social and the Christmas Market.”

The Christmas Market opens on 20 November and takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 20 December, from noon until 9.30 p.m. Entry is free and there’s no need to book, unless you would like to attend a masterclass, in which case you can book here.

The Corn Exchange is open seven days a week Monday to Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday 10am to 9pm, Friday & Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm
