MEAT:STACK – Welcome to Leeds

MEAT:STACK has built its reputation in the North of England since launching as a pop-up in 2016, operating in Newcastle’s Grainger Market then opening a high street store on the Bigg Market.

They take the cheeseburger to another level, with smashed patties, sauces made in-house and truly tempting toppings. The menu may be short, but it caters for the most discerning of fast food fans – double or triple cheeseburgers, sides, shakes and desserts, all prepared with attention to detail using authentic prep methods. Rare and traditional beef cuts are blended, sourced from free-range butcher Block and Bottle.

Delicious Detail

The beef is smashed into a raging hot grill, smothered with cheese and all the trimmings, before being steamed to melted gooey perfection. Menu highlights include the bestselling French Canadian, which comes loaded with streaky bacon, blue cheese, garlic butter, chilli-maple syrup, hash brown, American cheese and signature Stack Sauce.

Or try the American West Coast Classic, with American cheese, house made Stack Sauce and shredded lettuce. If fried chicken is your choice, then you’ll love the Turbocharger – chicken tenders (crunchy sweet tea brined goodness), baconnaise, pickled jalapenos, dry cure smoked streaky bacon, hash brown and Signature Buffalo.

Sides include Pompeii Fries, which consists of beef dripping fries smothered with Stack Sauce, fiery ‘nduja sugo, basil oil and parmesan cheese. The Filthy Fries encourage diners to get their hands dirty, with a killer combo of crumbled blue cheese, Signature Buffalo and crispy onions.

Jersey Shakes

Shake Flavours such as Nutella, Peanut Butter and house made Raspberry Jam will keep the sweet-toothed happy.

The Jersey soft serve ice cream comes topped with everything from Biscoff to Ground Coffee & Maple Syrup.

Anything else? Yes – MEAT: STACK branded locally brewed pale ale, and a refillable soda fountain!

Joining the Community

The transformed 34 Boar Lane building is MEAT:STACK’s Leeds’ home, on Bishopgate Street, joining other tenants Mowgli and The Collective. It was the last space available in the newly renovated building and will seat 60 diners and create 25 new jobs for Leeds.

MEAT: STACK partner and Director Allan Hyslop:

“Since we announced that we will be coming to Leeds, we cannot get over the incredible support we have had in the City. There is such a great food scene here and we cannot wait to be a part of that! Community is everything to us and we hope to be getting involved with as many businesses, creatives and foodie folk as we possibly can once we are open!”
