Open The Box in Leeds

It is only a short time since Leeds Living was invited to Arc Inspirations’ new Manahatta in Headingley, and now another new and exciting venue is being shown off by Arc, a large-scale events and entertainments bar which is heading into the City this September.

The Box is big sister to the original and iconic Headingley venue and will be housed in the space formerly occupied by 53 Degrees North on the corner of Infirmary Street.  Over two floors and as part of a £1.4 million investment by Arc, it promises to deliver food, drink, party and gaming experiences to match any in the City.

Spaces to Play

The Shuffle-Box area will feature two full-size, 21-foot Maplewood European shuffleboard tables.  Multiple HD widescreen TVs will be hung throughout the bar, making The Box Leeds the ultimate place to catch all the action.  There will be an electronic darts board in The Strong Room, seating 40 guests – and the basement Vault, an exclusive private bar, will comfortably accommodate up to 60 guests. Each of the spaces will be perfect for birthday celebrations, corporate entertaining and other special occasions.

Shuffle Box

On Thursday nights, DJs will set the soundtrack in the upstairs bar, right through the week-end, with an Après ski band playing live sets.

Tank and Tap

Leeds’ first Budvar tank beer will be served, which allows guests to enjoy unpasteurised, brewery-fresh beer each time they visit, direct from the beer’s brewery home.  Of course, there’ll also be a selection of craft beers and ciders, sourced from across Leeds, Yorkshire and the world, but what about cocktails on tap?   Cocktail lovers will be able to enjoy a new outstanding range of craft, draught pours straight from the taps. Yes – cocktails on tap!  Mark Austin has crafted some special mixes.

Food

With a street food-inspired menu sourcing ingredients both local and international, The Box will be the first in the UK to use a Morello Forni rotating bed pizza oven to create authentic Napoli pizzas, amongst the variety on offer, such as gourmet burgers using beef from Lisham’s of Ilkley…….and there are bubble waffles, loaded bubble waffles, the sort of dessert sweet dreams are made of.

‘Box Grab n Go’ is designed for busy people who only have time to collect ready to go food at a pre-arranged time.

Arc Inspirations CEO, Martin Wolstencroft is enthusiastic about delivering great products, unrivalled service and a fun time for all his customers:

“It’s the culmination of many ideas all housed under one roof and we’ve been waiting a long time for the right space to unveil what’s a new flagship venue for us.  We’re delighted with the final results and can’t wait to open our doors in September.”

The Box Leeds launches on Friday 14 September at 12 noon, so eat, drink, view, play and party.
