Oula – Boutique Food Catering

The impact of the pandemic on the hospitality industry has been profound. Oula is one of many in Leeds whose response has delivered results.

In order to continue providing incredible food to all their clients, this boutique catering company has diversified, offering Friday Night Feasts delivered straight to your door. This meal for two was so popular that takeaway boxed catering was added, for people to serve in their own homes.

Homemade falafel and spicy Asian cheeseburger rainbow-coloured sliders, Middle Eastern mezze and grazing platters are all filled with flavour and designed to brighten your dining table. Indian and European dishes are also on the menu, as well as desserts such as baked fudge doughnuts.

Oula’s founder, Megs: “We have worked in the food retail sector for a while, on the marketing and advertising side of things. Our keen eye for detail means that working with food comes easily to us. Starting a boutique food catering business was the natural next step, though we initially had to find new ways to get people to try our amazing food because of pandemic restrictions. Our aim is to take the hassle out of dining, especially for those who are hosting. We have been very lucky to get some amazing clients that have supported us on our catering journey.

Oula’s creative catering and lux platter settings caught the eye of Leeds United football player, Stuart Dallas, approached Oula to provide the catering for his 30th birthday earlier this year, his eye having been caught by their creative style of catering. Renowned bridal MUA, Shama Malik is also a fan, along with BBC Interior Design Masters finalist, Siobhan Hannah Murphy, who brought colour into every viewer’s home with her eclectic style and love of colour.

Megs continued: “Oula food is about fun and big flavours and that really comes across every time we cater for a client. Our table styling is simple and fresh, ensuring the food really is the star of the show. The colour combinations in our lux grazing tables and mezze spreads always look really vibrant and inviting. For us, it’s all about combining a passion for eating with quirky styling to provide an experience that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but that also tastes fresh and amazing. We love creating the ultimate wow factor for our clients.”

For those busy at home hosts, Oula also offers a table set-up service where they will come to the venue and prepare everything ahead of a party or event. .

Megs concluded: “Now that the hospitality sector is opening back up, we are excited to be catering for events again, but will continue offering the dine at home experience and takeaway options as well. We simply want to keep being creative with food, making gatherings the talk of the town!”
