Yuzu is replacing The Lucky Snake in Northern Monk’s City Centre food hall.
Yuzu Street Food have announced that they will be the latest cuisine to join Leeds food hotspot, Northern Market. The Yorkshire-based company has gone from strength to strength since its launch, with permanent residency in six venues and two street food trucks across the country.
Promising to provide dishes using the best quality local ingredients that look as exceptional as they taste, the team behind Yuzu will be working with the team at Northern Market and Falafel Guys for their latest Leeds venture.
Located on Great George Street, the Northern Market is the second Leeds-based venue from renowned brewery Northern Monk after The Old Flax Store on Marshall Street, which has been home to Northern Monk’s original brewing site and Refectory taproom since 2014.
Built upon core values of community and collaboration, The Northern Market features 10 tap lines of the freshest Northern Monk beers, alongside frequent guest brewers and collaborations and a rotating selection of fresh and exciting food from the likes of Falafel Guys, Big Buns, Six Slice and now Yuzu.
After an exciting summer that saw post-punk Leeds legends Yard Act, Leeds Indie Market and others over the space, the food-hall prepares for an even busier end to the year playing host to events including a big Oktoberfest party and the institution’s first birthday in November.
As Yuzu Street Food offers a menu brimming with bold flavours and inspiration from Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese favourites, their unorthodox take on East Asian dishes will be met by the open arms of excited foodies when they open their doors next week.
