everything we do: at The Wardrobe on 13 November. ‘Gorgeous harmonies’

everything we do supported British country group, Remember Monday, who kicked off their UK Tour on Wednesday. Their first port of call was The Wardrobe, Leeds.

Nestled in a lesser known part of Leeds, The Wardrobe is a must-visit. It boasts a large bar and dining space on the ground level with a whole gig venue underneath. The space is a great mix of cosy, with fairy lights adorning the ceiling, but with still enough room to have a little dance when the mood takes. The venue also offers accessible areas near the stage and seating along the sides.

Now there’s a lot of pressure that can come with doing a midweek gig, and even more pressure when that gig is in very dark, and cold November. However, with a dress code of pastel cowgirl, we were soon transported from gloomy, cold Leeds, to a mid-western princess night out.

I knew I was in good hands when I saw a red Nord Stage 3 Keyboard. Not to delve too much into music tech, but there is something about that instrument that creates such great, authentic sounds.

Country music is clearly a strong inspiration when it comes to the creation of everything we do’s music. After a little introduction from Joe and Katie (including the whole audience saying “Hi Katie” after some misunderstood directions from Joe) they went on to play one of their tracks called Every Night in Vegas. A love letter to the spontaneity of falling for someone and having the courage to push any trace of doubt aside. Accompanying the sweet lyrics were gorgeous harmonies and an acoustic guitar.

You may not be familiar with everything we do (yet) but you will know what the band has worked on in the past. This is a supergroup of very talented individuals.  everything we do was formed from both band members writing music for different artists. After crossing paths on different projects, the duo decided to create music together.

Real Love to Roommates was an instant hit with everything we do’s online following on its release. The band performed it live at The Wardrobe and you could see how well it captivated the audience. We were also treated to an incredible cover of Taylor Swift’s All Too Well. If we didn’t think the crowd had already been warmed up, this solidified it. The audience was singing and wooing along, as Katie belted some impressive vocals.

everything we do continues to support Remember Monday on their UK tour. To see when the duo are playing at a venue near you, make sure to follow them on their social channels.
