Honesty: at The Brudenell on 23 November

Leeds-based collective HONESTY have shared a remix from British-Armenian producer Hagop Tchaparian of their new track “MR SPEAKER.”

The track also features rising London rapper Rarelyalways, and is accompanied by a music video directed by *UNCANNY

Tchaparian’s remix of “MR. SPEAKER” is driving and moody, pulsing with an urgency that embodies HONESTY’s genre-less approach to making music. Tchaparian is signed to Four Tet’s Text Records, and has been championed by the likes of Pitchfork, who named his track “Right To Riot” Best New Music. The track follows the group’s double A-side singles “U&I” and “TUNE IN TUNE OUT” which were released last month.

The music of HONESTY emerged unexpectedly, instinctively, almost unconsciously, out of weekly gatherings at a studio space called Nave, in the collective’s native Leeds. It’s in this creative cauldron where the core members: George Mitchell, Matt Peel, Josh Lewis and Imi Holmes worked with a revolving cast of collaborators to survey the unconventional depths of contemporary electronic music, UK bass, garage, shoegaze, ambient and everything in between. This egoless approach results in songs that mirror the communal bond of passing the aux cord at a party, or diving into a well curated, diverse playlist.

HONESTY have also confirmed some of their first-ever public live performances, which will take place in the UK, as follows:

21 Oct – Cardiff, Swn Fest
11 Nov – Huddersfield, Yours To Keep Festival
23 Nov – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
25 Nov – Manchester, Mood Swings at YES
24 Feb 2024 – Bristol, Simple Things Festival
