Leeds Versus — at The Lending Room on 12 December

12 December is definitely a date to remember for Versus as they release their debut album “THE CATALYST” and celebrate with their fans on 12 December at Leeds The Lending Room.

The UK post-hardcore outfits debut release through CK Records marks a defining moment in the band’s sonic evolution. Blending post-hardcore energy with post-grunge grit and a melodic undercurrent of alternative rock, The Catalyst is an album forged in reflection, resilience and raw emotion.

A Sound That Sparks Transformation
From the opening instrumental “The Catalyst”, the album sets the tone with cinematic tension and atmosphere, before launching into the emotionally charged “Lost & Found” and “Burning Bridges” — tracks that encapsulate the record’s duality of hope and heartbreak. Versus explore the modern-day struggle through walls of distortion, cathartic screams and moments of introspective calm.

“This record is about standing in the ashes and realising that sometimes destruction is the first step toward rebuilding and renewal,” the band explains. “It’s as much about self-discovery as it is about the chaos that surrounds us.”

The Catalyst captures Versus at their most unfiltered and urgent. Gritty yet cinematic, the album flows between moments of thunderous aggression and haunting vulnerability — a testament to the band’s depth and range within the post-hardcore and alternative scenes.
