Silver Tongued Rascals get set to embark on their second headline tour of their debut year as the momentum and excitement continues to grow around this independent electronic band.
A successful set of shows in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and London before their first major Festival appearance at Beat-Herder July ’24 has seen the band’s reputation for their raucous, highly energetic and engaging performances start to catch the attention of audiences and promoters up and down the country. This recently culminated in an invitation to support Darren Emerson of Underworld at the infamous ‘Golden Lion in Todmordon.
Their second EP, a 5-track offering titled ‘Once Upon my Mind’ is due for release Monday 20th January ’25 aka ‘Blue Monday’ as it tackles deep subject matter such as depression, homelessness and suicide but from a perspective of overcoming these phases and hurdles of life to go beyond and become your greatest version.
This inspiring piece truly demonstrates STR’s ability to take a heavy topic and still have it accessible to embrace from household speakers to dance-floors alike.
The band has a run of shows before the year is out. Support at these shows will be provided by enigmatic electronic up and comers Midnite Pharmacy, who have a blend of Depeche Mode meets Maribou State with hypnotic beats and vocals – and UK Hip Hop artist Burgz who fuses traditional fundamentals of the culture with a Northern wit and depth.
