The Hoosiers – at The Brudenell on 29 September

Pop-rockers The Hoosiers’ Autumn UK tour celebrates the release of their new album ‘Confidence’.

Since their first meeting in 1995, vocalist Irwin Sparkes and drummer Alan Sharland have been on an endless adventure around the globe. They both initially played in covers bands, but were advised by their chemistry teacher to seek out their own life experiences in order to write some original material, so they headed to Spain and later the US in pursuit of inspiration.

Joining forces with Swedish recording studio engineer Martin Skarendahl in 2006, the band were signed by former Bros bassist and head of Sony’s RCA imprint Craig Logan in the same year. Their debut album ‘The Trick To Life‘, released in 2007, hit No.1 in the UK charts and spawned countless singles, including the Top 5 hits ‘Worried About Ray‘ and ‘Goodbye Mr A‘.

Since then, the band’s debut has sold over a million copies worldwide, they’ve embarked on multiple sold-out tours and graced stages at the likes of GlastonburyIsle of Wight Festival and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Now, with a handful more studio albums and a never-ending number of stories under their belts, The Hoosiers are gearing up to release their sixth LP ‘Confidence’. The beguiling record that sees the band “more in love with each other, the band and making music with each other in this particular band than ever before,” the record is set to land on 15 September 2023.
